Task Description : Today we had art rotations and we had to rotate to room 1. Our topic for art this week was " The Scream ", We all had to try and recreate the version of " The Scream " and this was my version of " The Scream ".

   Early on the 24th of December there was a tsunami and it ruined all the houses and there was trash everywhere. The tsunami hit the trash control and the plastics and food waste were everywhere. People had to wait for the next 2-3 days for the water to go away. There were all sorts of rubbish everywhere on the beach , People started to stay away from the beach which means no one even cared about going to the beach to help clean it up , Except for this one man he enjoyed going to visit the beach weather it was dirty or clean he still like it cause barely anyone would go to visit the beach. So the man decided to clean the beach and try to help it look clean so people could start going to see it daily.

Saving Energy

                                           Introduction 

We should use less Energy,Oil and Gas. We need to use less otherwise in 50-100 years we are losing all of it. If we use less Energy, Oil and Gas we could have it for at least 100-200 years from now. Here are 3 ways to save Energy. 

                                             Saving Oil 

Oil is precious to us mainly because we mostly use it for cooking at times or other Oil-related things. We should use a bit less Oil because just like I said before we are going to run out of Oil. You can either 1. Not use a lot of Oil. 2. Try to use other things instead of just Oil (Only because we barely will have any oil in 50 or 100 years for everyone.)

                                                  Gas 

We need gas as much as Oil for nearly everything. We need it for many things but we should at-least use something else other than Gas because of us nearly losing both Gas and Oil in 50-100 years. We overly use Oil a-bit too much but it’s the same as Gas. You can either 1. Use less Gas and again try to find something else. 2. Trying to find a few different things instead of just Gas.

                                                 Energy 

We need to use less energy otherwise we lose it. Everyone around the whole world uses energy for things. We need to use it less otherwise it’s gone in 50-100 years or if we use less we can have more energy for 100-200 years which would be better.For example, if we use way too much Energy,Oil and Gas it’ll be gone within years whereas if use less energy,oil or gas 

Conclusion - So there you have it, 3 ways to save/use more renewable's, Oil and Gas. Is there any other way to save Oil and Gas?

                                        WATER SUSTAINABILITY 

 

Turning off water while brushing your teeth can save up to 4 gallons each minute. Taking shorter showers each minute will save you 5 gallons. Groundwater and water from marshlands is used to irrigate the fields .  In countries with a dry and hot climate this is especially problematic. Once pumped out of the ground the water doesn’t come back. Governments and societies need to change their attitudes towards water.Two thirds of the country's rivers in New Zealand are now too polluted to swim in.  Water gets polluted not just in our rivers and lakes but in our drinking water too. Sheep has been seeping through the polluted water and thousands of people got sick from it.There are three reasons why you can keep our water clean, don’t throw rubbish in the water,don’t throw rubbish in the water, use water wisely and don’t waste, keep the waterways clean so we can have fresh and healthy water. This is why you should keep our water clean and make sure to be mindful of water we drink and use for our health.

TASK DESCRIPTION: This is my reading task. Its about a Taniwha that lives in New Zealand and its located in the Waikato river.

 Tongan Ta'ovala

A Tongan ta’ovala is something that most Tongans will wear to special occasions for example like a wedding funeral or to a birthday. .Ta'ovala are handmade by the females in Tonga. There are all sorts of sizes for a ta'ovala. There are some  large ta'ovala that people wear to a funeral to show how close they were to the person that died.

Some people use ta'ovala to decorate their houses. They use it to put on the floor in the living room. Some people flatten their ta'ovala under their beds and only take it out when they're going to go somewhere special. Some Tongans use ta’ovala for their new born babies to wear when they're going to get baptised or when there's a 21st birthday they have to wear a ta’ovala.

There are all sorts of different ta’ovala. There is another kind of traditional ta’ovala but another word for it is kiekie. Which is what the ladies wear to church or to a wedding. A kiekie is something ladies most likely wear  to church.

Special Assembly With Our Special Guest

Today we had a special assembly to welcome Joseph Parker. Joseph Parker gave us a little message which was (Believe in yourself, Nothing beats hard work). Joseph Parker came with his sister Elizibeth Parker. We were all excited to see him in real life.  Hopefully we get to see him again next time.

My Narrative Writing.

One night there were 4 girls. They were very very close. Their names were Lina , Jenna , Tiara and Brianna. They decided to go on a girls trip to Hawaii. The girls packed their bags and were on their way to the airport to go to Hawaii. All the girls were very excited because they haven’t seen each other in such a longggg time because they were in quarantine (lockdown). Once the girls were on their way to Hawaii once they landed in a city called Lanai city . They were all excited and they went to go find a hotel near a beach in Honolulu. 

So they all sat down near a bus stop and started searching for hotels. Lina found the perfect one. It had a 2 bedroom view and a beach surrounded by palm trees. Tiara called a taxi to pick them up and drop them off at their location. It was a long ride because they were in another city which was Lanai city in Hawaii even though it was long they still enjoyed it because they got to see some beautiful and cool views.

Once they arrived at their location Brianna said “Hey look at that” And they all turned around and looked at the hotel and Brianna said “No the other side” the girls were shocked because they didn’t see the forest in the picture and they didn’t know there was gonna be a forest near their hotel. So Jenna said “lets just take our luggage into our hotel room and we can go into the forest and explore and see what's in there. The girls agreed and they went to put their luggage away and they all got dressed up in overalls just in case it gets cold or rainy in there. 

When they walked around in the forest Jenna found a hidden rollercoaster she called out to the girls and the girls came running to her thinking she was stuck or in trouble. She showed the hidden rollercoaster to the girls and the girls were shocked!! They wanted to ride it and they all hopped in without knowing how to control it. Just as they all hopped in, Lina banged into something and the rollercoaster started moving. They were all screaming and shouting because they didn’t know how to control the rollercoaster. They all  started crying and they were all trying to calm down  but they were too scared.  So Lina told the girls to calm down and they all breathed heavily then Lina said just calm down and look around to see if there's anything here like a lever or a button or something we can push or pull. The girls were trying to search around in the rollercoaster but they couldn’t find anything. Tiara was complaining saying how uncomfortable her seat is and Brianna said “well it is old and rusty so it is what it is” And Lina said to Tiara to get up but Tiara was so scared that she might fall out. Lina pulled her off the chair and held her and Jenna looked under TIaras seat and found a button and Lina told her to push it before they crashed into the tree and as she pushed it the roller coaster was slowly stopping  just as they were about to crash. 

They all ran out of the rollercoaster and ran back to their hotel room and stayed there till the next day they all woke up and said to themselves “what happened?” and  they all just walked out to go shopping without remembering anything and as they walked off they never noticed the forest nearby……. One night a girl named Nelly went for a walk during the night. Things started getting awkward during her walk. She started getting worried so she decided to turn back and walk home. As she was walking home she looked back and she was in shock to see someone following her so she ran and the stranger was still going after her. She ran and hid at a dead end behind a big rubbish bin and she got caught. The stranger took her home and tied her up to a chair and started asking her questions that had nothing to do with her…

 Mysterious stranger “Hello Kelly”...Nelly replied “I’m not Kelly I’m Nelly” ....The mysterious stranger replied “I know  you're playing around with me so quit playing”...Nelly replied “ I’m so confused I don’t even know why i’m here”... The mysterious turned on the light to check if it actually wasn’t Kelly. As he turned it on he was in shock and embarrassed to see who he actually got. He started apologizing telling her she's really sorry Nelly said “ it’s okay but why do you want my sister”?... He replied “only because she did something that wasn’t right”.. Nelly said “what did she do”??... He said “she decided to rob a shop” Nelly wasn’t happy with what she heard so she told him to leave it to her because only she can handle her sister.  Nelly asked him what his name was and he said his name was Eric…



Eric said “He’ll give her one chance but if she doesn’t talk to her sister he’ll have to report her to the police” Nelly said “don’t worry i’ll do it” Eric said “okay” and Nelly went home to go look if her sister was at home… When she saw Kelly she went to sit down to talk with Kelly and Nelly told Kelly everything and Kelly was apologizing telling her shes really sorry for putting her in a very bad situation that had nothing to do with her. Nelly said “its okay i’ll help you” Kelly said “thanks Nelly” so they both decided that they’ll do everything in the morning once they get up tomorrow morning.


Next day - Nelly and Kelly went to the shop. They hopped off and walked into the shop and started to say sorry and Kelly decided to give him some money to show him that she was really sorry the shop keeper said “It’s okay just don’t do it again please”.. She said okay and as they left they decided to have a sisters day out to celebrate something that they fixed together so as they went on they were really really really happy.

The first Anzac Day was back in 1915.The landing at the Anzac Cove was on Sunday the 25th of April. Also known as the landing at Gaba Tepe, and to the turks as the Ariburnu Battle. This is my poster I decided to do about Anzac Day. First me and my older cousin (Veni) drew the pictures first then I got to colour it all in with a few more tips from my cousin. This was the only thing I could think about doing for Anzac Day because I couldn't find anything else.

Dear Future Me...

Currently 16th of april 2019 term 2 week 1.

Dear Future Me, I would like to experience and learn and still remember the same things as I was taught when I was younger from my Family and Friends and from school espacily. I would also like to remember the memories I've had in the past few years with everyone I've spent my time with and I am very thankful for people who like to encourage me a lot to do work when I think I can’t do it myself. I have a lot of people around me who I would like to thank you for being there  for me when I think I can’t do anything properly. Have you ever thanked someone before?

I have regretted so many things in life before that I wasn’t even supposed to be doing anyways. I hope in the future I won’t have to regret anything although some people still may have been regretting a lot of this this year. Not gonna lie but this was honestly one of my hardest writings to write about but now i’ve been experiencing everything i’ve done good and wrong and maybe in the future I would like to improve and change a lot especially when leaving intermediate to move on to college whe a lot of teenagers go for school.  Experiencing convid 19 is not easy because you have to stay at home the whole time but it's hard trying to see your family and friends. Convid 19 is not easy at all cause you don’t get to see the people you love and have been growing up with for the past few years especially my grandparents.  Praying and hoping that Convid 19 won’t ever exist  again in the future so that we don’t have to stay home every single day.

Overall All Reflection :

BEGIN WRITING HERE:

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful girl named  Lina , Lina was a girl that loved animals . She lived on a farm with her parents but a few years  later her parents passed away , they both had a heart attack. Lina had no one else but herself. She lived in a palace garden with giant dog’s. Ever since her parents left she never left the palace.

One day she got a letter from a lady her name was Gail , Gail loved parties she decided to send letters around to her neighbour hood . So when Lina opened the letter she was in shock because it was the first time she ever got a letter . She said to herself “ This is weird, I never got a letter ever since my parents died “ .  

Next day -  Lina decided it's now time that she finally decided to go out into the open world to see how the other people are doing. Lina got ready and started walking to the markets to buy her some clothes for the party. All of a sudden she saw Gail, Gail said 

 “HELLO WOULD YOU WANT TO COME TO MY PARTY”, LIna said I would love to but I have plans im going to a neighbours party just down the road from my house.

Party day -  On the party day she decided to make some cakes and cupcakes . After she made the food she decided to call one of her old friends. Her name was Vinegar. Vinegar arrived at her palace and Lina asked her if  she could come with her to her neighbours party Vinegar replied why didn’t to tell me on the phone call I wasn’t even ready. Lina replied whatever you can wear some of my clothes but after you help me take the food to the car.

Once they took the food to the car they decided to get ready. Once they got ready, the day went on to the party . They decided to stop by the dairy to buy some things to put in a party bag to say thank you for inviting them to the party . They “FINALLY” arrived at the neighbours house for the party. Gina walked out of the house in shock to see Lina at the party Gina walked up to Lina and asked her what she was doing at the party Lina replied saying the owner of the house invited me to this party so I decided to make some food to bring . Gina said well i’m the owner of this house Gina said ohh your the girl I ran into  at the markets right Lina said yes . So Lina handed her thank you gift over to Gina thanking her for inviting her to her party. Lina said to her friend to help her bring the food out of her car. Gina said thank you as they all walked off.

A man walked up to her saying “Hey you're the king's daughter but your father passed away rightt” Lina replied saying yes thats me   , The man's name was Judith , Judith was shocked to see princess Lina. He decided to play a trick on her by inviting her to a party Lina decided to go along with his filify trick he set up . She decided to go to his party and then she got kidnapped by Judith and his group of bad boy’s . They decided to lock her up in a forest where she could never escape. One night Lina decided to try and escape but she was locked behind bars in a secret castle in the middle of a secretive forest. She stayed there for two whole days and she hasn’t even eaten yet , she was so hungry that she almost fainted luckily her fairy godfather appears out of the  blue and starts asking her questions about how she ended up in a castle in the middle of the forest. Once she found out where she was she was TERRIFIED!. She was shocked that she finally remembered what happened. She said she got tricked into getting locked up in a castle by a man named Judith. So the fairy godfather set her free and turned animals and sorts of insects which made a carriage that could take her back to her palace. So once she got back to her palace she decided to never leave her palace for once in her life .

It had been three days since it had gone missing. One minute he had held it in his hand, then next it had vanished. How could it just have disappeared? It had been right in front of his eyes!
He had been warned about what would happen if he lost it. His mission had been to guard the key with his life, ever since they visited him last summer.
Adam had always had a detective’s instinct. They had told him as much. He had been chosen because he had certain skills, and he would need them more than ever now.
Only one clue had seemingly been left, which was sat on the living room table.
Holding the magnifying glass up to his eye, Adam began to investigate…
seemed to not find the key for about over an hour and the key was nowhere to be found. The next day he began to start worrying because if he did not find the key he wouldn’t be able to ever have good luck or he also wouldn’t be able to stay safe. He was really really worried that he couldn’t stop worrying about the missing key . So he tried to sleep  but he still couldn’t stop thinking about the key that he had lost. He was so worried but little did he know the key had been under his pillow case. So he searched and searched but he still couldn’t remember where he put or lost the key. He also didn’t realise that nothing bad has happened to him for the past few days. He will only be hurt if the key wasn’t near him or in his house. But he still couldn’t stop thinking about his lost key.

Introduction Make your statement. Be clear about your focus.	Show others how to be a good point englander is by wearing your school uniform with pride wherever you go to places even when you are in the school gates and outside the school gates.
Information 1st element Idea 1	Showing others how to be a good Point englander is by being respectful to your teachers not only your teachers but the people  that's also around you most of the time . Like talk politely to your teacher and peers and family too. Also another way to be a good point englander is by being helpful and using your W.I.T.S when other people are trying to distract you from your work and what you are doing.
Information 2nd element Idea 2	Another way of trying to be another good pt englander student is by being helpful and helping your peers if they are stuck with something like their work or drawing and writing task help  them if you want them to keep up with their school work.
Information 3rd element Idea 3	If you want to know how to be a good pt englander you have to be a good person and be a leader so when you do something good people will do the same thing as you. Being a bad example is not good because if you set a bad example you won’t get anywhere further than what you are doing .
Information 4th element Idea 4	Setting goals can be another way of being a good example of what you are doing. If you’re doing something bad kids younger then you will repeat doing the same exact thing as you. If you do something good kids younger than you will do the same exact thing as you like for example - picking up rubbish in front of the little kids you might not know if they’ll start picking up rubbish too.
Conclusion There you have it - 4 reasons as to -why -that will help you -for you to try...	Doing good things is something other kids can be doing too, not only you. Setting a goal or an example is another way of being a good leader and example.

Rubbish - when people see rubbish they should be picking it up not just walk past it. Picking up rubbish is good  for our environment and is also good for our animals on our land and in the ocean. Some stores in New Zealand have banned plastic bags because when we use plastic bags it can kill the sea animals .That is why we now use paper bags so we can rescue whenever the time.So For Example Picking Up Rubbish could keep our environment 100% clean and tidy.It could also keep our sea creatures safe and happy forever.

Statement- Chucking your rubbish in the right bin is good for our people and animals.Explanation- Picking up our rubbish and putting it in the bin is good that is why we have 3 bins around every school.For example we have 3 bins and the colours are Red,Yellow,and blue .Example red is for soggy mold rubbish. And yellow is for cardboard and plastic bottles, and last but not least blue is for our milk boxes. After we drink our milk we have to drink it dry, fold it flat and send it back.



Element 3 doesn't just do it at school, do it at home and on the streets.

You should talk nicely to your parents and other people around you like your own family.You should actually do this to people on the streets with no home and to people that's doing things for you.For example is you go to a fast food restaurant you have to talk nicely to them because you might not know if they are tired or not.






Element 4 Teach others (whanau , Neighbours.

Teaching others how to do things is really helpful and kind.Like helping the poor is helpful and it could change other people's lives and might follow after you and might do the same thing as you .One day if people help one another  we could be able to start doing nice things every single day and everyone could be helpful .For example example it is always good to teach people how to do things like reading and teaching them how to do maths.
