This is another Taha challenge that my class choose to do and we've been doing it for the past few days.

Anzac Poster

The first Anzac Day was back in 1915.The landing at the Anzac Cove was on Sunday the 25th of April. Also known as the landing at Gaba Tepe, and to the turks as the Ariburnu Battle. This is my poster I decided to do about Anzac Day. First me and my older cousin (Veni) drew the pictures first then I got to colour it all in with a few more tips from my cousin. This was the only thing I could think about doing for Anzac Day because I couldn't find anything else.

Don't Let Go Narritve

Write a story using the picture above as inspiration. Is this the beginning of the story or the end? Where is the carriage going and why? Who is the girl and how did she get there? What’s the deal with the duck and lizard? Where do those stairs go behind them?

Hook: She gets locked in a cottage in the middle of the forest.

BEGIN WRITING HERE:

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful girl named  Lina , Lina was a girl that loved animals . She lived on a farm with her parents but a few years  later her parents passed away , they both had a heart attack. Lina had no one else but herself. She lived in a palace garden with giant dog’s. Ever since her parents left she never left the palace.

One day she got a letter from a lady her name was Gail , Gail loved parties she decided to send letters around to her neighbour hood . So when Lina opened the letter she was in shock because it was the first time she ever got a letter . She said to herself “ This is weird, I never got a letter ever since my parents died “ .  

Next day -  Lina decided it's now time that she finally decided to go out into the open world to see how the other people are doing. Lina got ready and started walking to the markets to buy her some clothes for the party. All of a sudden she saw Gail, Gail said 

 “HELLO WOULD YOU WANT TO COME TO MY PARTY”, LIna said I would love to but I have plans im going to a neighbours party just down the road from my house.

Party day -  On the party day she decided to make some cakes and cupcakes . After she made the food she decided to call one of her old friends. Her name was Vinegar. Vinegar arrived at her palace and Lina asked her if  she could come with her to her neighbours party Vinegar replied why didn’t to tell me on the phone call I wasn’t even ready. Lina replied whatever you can wear some of my clothes but after you help me take the food to the car.

Once they took the food to the car they decided to get ready. Once they got ready, the day went on to the party . They decided to stop by the dairy to buy some things to put in a party bag to say thank you for inviting them to the party . They “FINALLY” arrived at the neighbours house for the party. Gina walked out of the house in shock to see Lina at the party Gina walked up to Lina and asked her what she was doing at the party Lina replied saying the owner of the house invited me to this party so I decided to make some food to bring . Gina said well i’m the owner of this house Gina said ohh your the girl I ran into  at the markets right Lina said yes . So Lina handed her thank you gift over to Gina thanking her for inviting her to her party. Lina said to her friend to help her bring the food out of her car. Gina said thank you as they all walked off.

A man walked up to her saying “Hey you're the king's daughter but your father passed away rightt” Lina replied saying yes thats me   , The man's name was Judith , Judith was shocked to see princess Lina. He decided to play a trick on her by inviting her to a party Lina decided to go along with his filify trick he set up . She decided to go to his party and then she got kidnapped by Judith and his group of bad boy’s . They decided to lock her up in a forest where she could never escape. One night Lina decided to try and escape but she was locked behind bars in a secret castle in the middle of a secretive forest. She stayed there for two whole days and she hasn’t even eaten yet , she was so hungry that she almost fainted luckily her fairy godfather appears out of the  blue and starts asking her questions about how she ended up in a castle in the middle of the forest. Once she found out where she was she was TERRIFIED!. She was shocked that she finally remembered what happened. She said she got tricked into getting locked up in a castle by a man named Judith. So the fairy godfather set her free and turned animals and sorts of insects which made a carriage that could take her back to her palace. So once she got back to her palace she decided to never leave her palace for once in her life .

Kasey & Ivy

This is one of my new books I choose to read it is called Kasey and Ivy which is about a Kasey telling Ivy one of her biggest secrets she had hid ever since she was little . She always have hid her secret from everyone but now that she has a new best friend which is Ivy so she could talk to Ivy about anything .Now I am on chapter 2.

Task description: This week my reading group ( OYSTERS) done a create task about a Cook Island  theme called Tivaevae, This is my tivaevae video and Kingstons we did . Some of the words were really hard to pronounce like tivaevae tauri'i. We also read a poem called My Mother's Coat and learnt about personification.
